ASCO 2025: Cure4Cancer Champions Co-Create Tailored Cancer Care and Drive Lung Cancer Breakthroughs

2025 ASCO Annual Meeting; May 30, 2025

From May 30 to June 3, 2025, under the theme “Driving Knowledge to Action: Building a Better Future,” the 2025 ASCO Annual Meeting extensively highlighted groundbreaking oncology innovations and international regulatory harmonization. Cure4Cancer movement champions and experts, including Dr. Bob Li (SVP and Global Head of Medical Affairs, Oncology at AstraZeneca, and Cure4Cancer Co-Founder) alongside Professor Yilong Wu (President of the Chinese Thoracic Oncology Group, CTONG), actively shaped pivotal discussions.

Dr. Bob Li co-launched the Pan-American Cancer Consortium, emphasizing global, cross-border collaborations to build customized cancer care systems that reflect local realities rather than exporting “one-size-fits-all” solutions. As an AstraZeneca executive, he also focused on interpreting and translating major oncology pipeline data into scalable real-world treatments to maximize patient access across diverse communities. Meanwhile, Professor Yilong Wu presented landmark results from a clinical study evaluating the novel anti-EGFR antibody HLX07 combined with serplulimab and chemotherapy, demonstrating improved median progression-free survival (PFS) as a first-line treatment for advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer (sqNSCLC). Additionally, he provided expert medical analysis and commentary on major annual breakthroughs, specifically addressing lung cancer perioperative therapies and targeted treatment resistance.

“The future of cancer care isn’t about exporting one-size-fits-all solutions—it’s about co-creating systems that reflect local realities. This in collaboration with Bloomberg New Economy and ASCO made clear how global partnerships can power local innovation and access.”
— Dr. Bob Li, SVP Global Head of Medical Affairs, Oncology, AstraZeneca
